👋 Hey Everyone,

I'm Dan, founder of Realmac Software. As autumn arrives and the days grow shorter, I'm excited to launch the very first issue of Elements Weekly.

This new format should make things a bit more consistent and fun to follow. Each week, we’ll highlight what’s new in Elements, plus some of the tools and apps we’re using to build great websites.

I hope you’ll look forward to finding Elements Weekly in your inbox every Tuesday.

Let’s dive in!

🎉 1. What’s New This Week?

Each week I’ll do my best to outline what’s new in the world of Elements, this can be anything from App releases, through to manual and video updates. Here’s what’s new this week:

📺 2. Getting Started with Elements

Each week I’ll highlight a new feature or show you how to build something in Elements. But since this is our very first issue, we’re starting with the basics. If you’re new around here, check out our the Quickstart Guide, it’s the fastest way to see how simple it is to build a beautiful website with Elements.

Each week I highlight the tools and services we use to build websites and run our business. Sometimes the things I recommend have an affiliate link attached, it’s a simple way to support our work at no extra cost. This week, I have an excellent web service and Mac App to share with you!

Web Service: Fathom Analytics — Simple, privacy-friendly (GDPR compliant) site analytics that just work. Use our referral link to get a $10 credit on your first invoice.

Mac App: Clean Shot — If you’ve ever watched a customer support video on our forum, it was probably recorded with Clean Shot. I’ve been using it for years, and can’t recommend it enough!

⚡️ 4. Quick Tip: Lightning-Fast Component Adding

Press Command-Shift-F to instantly open the quick-add component window in the Elements Editor. Just start typing the component name you need, and hit Return to drop it right onto your page. It's the fastest way to build without breaking your flow!

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed this new style of newsletter, and I’ll be back next week with more Elements updates.

If you haven’t tried Elements for macOS yet, now’s the perfect time to dive in and start building your next site.🫡

All the best,

Dan & Team Elements

P.S. Here’s a little peek inside Elements HQ… we’re hard at work building the new Elements Store. Stay tuned, it’s going to be huge 🙌
